Relationships- what goes into it

The world of the young is driven, driven by a fear of being alone. We always like to have someone for us, some one to speak to, some one to share with, some one to be with. But sometimes we forget to get this from a person what we have to give. However poetically put a relationship is all about sharing and hard work. Just like we strive for our careers so that we end on the top, we work with our investments so that they give maximum returns relationships are also work, hard work.

Imagine if you were to get some job which would give you everything you wanted in life, like good pay, big car, big villa, job satisfaction (hypothetically only.... I cant see a job giving all these) then how hard would you work to excel in that position? Would you not go great heights to prove that you are the man for this job and you deserve this position, you have earned it? Well a relationship fills the voids that the other things in your life has left behind. It is the one you turn to when you want to find who you are, when you are down and you need something to hold on to, when you need courage to look at the future or face your past. So to make such a thing last in your life you have got to work hard. Harder than ever, fortunately relationships dont need you to spend long hours, or sweat it out. All it needs is little time. And trust me this time makes you fell better, complete and happy. This happiness is what brings success to life.

I have seen many relations fall by the way side. The reasons vary, from lack of commitment to may be not having the same outlook to life. But once you got into a relation and are very serious about it you gotta work to make it stick. A relation has many varied phases. The first phase is the time when you see only the good in a person, this phase you get carried away a lot and feel he is the one, just remember dont delve too much or commit too hard during your initial phase. The phase two is when you see the bad in the person this phase you tend generally to drift away slightly from that person. Sometimes relations break during this phase. The key here is to be frank and tell that person what you dont like in him or her, and you yourself make up your mind to be with them despite their shortcomings or faults. If you think you can live with ther person's faults go ahead this is the time to be more commited to the relation. Else its splits time. But once past this phase it is not over, its not something you can take for granted, its not a bed of roses.

Just like your job you need to devote time for your loved one, once you do that you will reap the rewards in everyday life and also in your future. The time, the love, the care, all we sow in the right person comes back to us when we need them the most
